Is He Insane?
President Bush is Killing Americans at Home

I don't normally write about politics, but after reading an article syndicated by the Washinton Post this morning, I just have to say something. Read it here
When is someone going to tell President Bush that he is not a monarch? Apparently, he thinks he and he alone runs this country. With this attitude, our beloved country is slipping into the sewer.
Not only has he disregarded the advice of his advisors regarding the war in Iraq, but now he proposes a budget that will take money from Americans who need it and give it to the war effort. Is he insane?
His budget proposal will cut social programs, health care funding for the elderly and poor, and children's programs will suffer as well. Budget cuts would reduce funding for law enforcement, at a time when violent crime is at an all time high. For what end? Just so he can avoid admitting he has been wrong in the handling of Iraq?
He wants to spend more money in the killing fields, over in Iraq, while effectively killing Americans with his reductions in assistance funding. If he gets his way, more than 1 million low-income American families will lose winter heating assistance. What makes him think it is justifiable to spend more money killing Iraqis and American soldiers, while starving the poor here at home?
He proposes increasing spending on counter terrorism here at home, but what for? If our own people are being starved to death, and left without any health care, what is there to protect? Is it okay for street gangs and other criminals to kill our people in the streets, as long as they are not considered terrorists from a foreign land? Apparently so, since he wants to cut funding to law enforcement. Personally, I think street gangs are terrorists, but since they live here, President Bush must not consider them too much of a threat.
President Bush should be impeached. What he is doing up there in the Oval Office is far more criminal than anything Bill Clinton had ever done. At least Bill Clinton's indiscretions didn't cost American lives, here at home or abroad.
With his proposed cuts to education, health care, law enforcement, and environmental programs, the American people are being left behind so that he can pursue his own political agenda. What exactly is he trying to prove? Someone should do something before his ego destroys this country. Why worry about terrorists? Bush is destroying this country all by himself.
