Are You Serious?

How Serious Are You?

Are you really serious about building a business from home, or are you just fooling around? Does the idea sound good to you, but the procrastinator in you sabotages the realization of your fantasy?

Well, the majority of the people I talk to are wanting to build a business, but just can't seem to make the time for it. Excuses abound...

I don't know how to advertise
I don't like to talk to people
I don't know how to build a web site
My favorite TV show is on at that time

And the list goes on...

They sign up and then don't return phone calls, don't ask questions, fail to respond to emails, etc..

It is frustrating, to say the least, to work with these types of people. Either you want it or you don't. If you don't, that is okay! Just say so. Don't pretend.

I am a subscriber to Robet Puddy's Advertising KnowHow. Today I am going to share with you, something he wrote in his newsletter today.

I am posting it here because he says puts things very bluntly, and I am impressed with his stand. I also think that he is a very good mentor, and that anyone who has the opportunity to learn from him and work with him, should jump at it.

So, without further ado...

I think I must have got up the wrong side of the bed today, I'm having a rant every where :)

What am I ranting about today?

Well I get questions everyday, how do I, where can I, would you please help me. Now I cannot help every one its just not possible, I help when I can. In order to get my help you have to show me your willing to help yourself, you have to convince me that if I mentor you, I'm not going to end up spending more time on helping you than I am running my own business.

So how do you do that?

Well first you have to convince me you are willing to spend enough time and energy to accomplish what needs to be done everyday, you have to convince me you are willing (and able) to spend a little money (nobody gets away with doing this totally free).

If I set you tasks and you don't do them, if I give you recommendations and you don't act on them, then I pretty quickly know that your not serious enough to warrant my time.

Now I'm not talking about you as a subscriber, I'm talking about those that specifically ask for mentoring. If you ask me to help you personally and I go out of my way to do that I expect you to at least trust me when I recommend something.

Its kind of like you know people want to learn how to do this stuff but they are unwilling to trust someone enough to pay even a token amount for information, coaching, hands on workshop etc.

If you want someone to mentor you, not just me, any successful person you pick, you have to show them your serious. The easiest way to do that is to turn up at an event and talk to them personally, to that end any Advertising know how subscriber who attends the Focus4 seminar in Charlotte in a weeks time will be invited into a private and exclusive workshop,I have set aside a private room at the event just for AKH subscribers

Here is the link to the seminar http://www.focus4thefuture.com

Help me to help you, by joining us on the 19th and 20th November in Charlotte North Carolina

Your success
Robert
