Hub Pages Gets a Thumbs Down

I must say that Mr. Seth Goodin did a major disservice to his Squids by selling Squidoo to Hub Pages. I'll tell you why I won't be using them anymore. I was a long time squidooer. I was a giant Squid with almost 150 lenses. My lenses drew comments and praise, but when Squidoo sold out and trandferred lenses to Hub Pages, most of mine went unpublished.

To add insult to injury, when I tried to publish those pages with Hub Pages, my content was not good enough. I wrote on topics such as breast cancer, menopause, domestic violence and politics. What was once good enouh for Squidoo is not good enough for Hub Pages, I guess.

I was even told hubs with a single link in them were overly promotional. Now tell me, wasn't the purpose of Squidoo to monetize content. Hell, we raised money for charity that way!

As soon as I can gather my content, I'm outta there!

They won't even let me advertise a book I wrote and published myself!

I even did a page to promote Toys for Tots, one of my favorite charities, and they say it is overly promotional. Screw them! My page on ADHD, although it contains no affiliate links, is considered overly promotional. I guess they need new bots. Bots with common sense. They don't like my stuff on domestic violence although I have received accolades from readers about it.

Buh-Bye Hub Pages.
