What Is DeskView? Trina L.C. Sonnenberg

Some of you may have heard of DeskView and some my not have heard about it yet, so I thought I'd give you a little more information on what it is and how to use it. First of all, it is a desktop application that no one, especially those who want to communicate with me, should be without. Why? Because DeskView allows me to communicate, directly from my desktop with others, without using email. Most of the Internet is familiar with Yahoo Messenger, and most of the people I know use it regularly. DeskView blows YM right out of the water! Yahoo is easy to use, but it has its limitations. DeskView is easy to use and does a whole lot more than YM.

DeskView is a complete communication system that sits on your desktop. Not only can you send private messages and chat, but you can also use it to view web pages, read and subscribe to RSS feeds, store your favorite web pages as bookmarks, keep track of appointments, create HTML and audio files... And that is just the beginning. With DeskView, you receive instant alerts whenever someone sends you a new message through the messenger, or whenever your favorite Quikonnex publishers post a new item to a channel you subscribe too. Quikonnex publishers can use DeskView to manage their content, communicate directly with subscribers and post to their channels. You can even hold conferences within DeskView. Because I'm such a huge fan of this application, and use it all of the time, I wrote a short tutorial to help my current and new subscribers use it too.
